The Allegrippis Trails at Raystown Lake are the recipient of a Huntingdon County Community Improvement Program Special Merit Award.  Accepting the award on behalf of the project’s many partners was Ron Rabena, President of Friends of Raystown Lake.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, partnered with Friends of Raystown and the International Mountain Biking Association to create 32 miles of single track muti use trails at Raystown Lake. Since completion last summer, over 6,000 mountain bikers have banked around hairpin curves, through streams and over hill and dale to enjoy this world class recreation facility.

Sponsored bythe Huntingdon County Planning Commission, County Chamber and Kish Bank, the winners of the 5th Annual Community Improvement Award were announced at the HCPC Annual Meeting March 10, 2009.
