Whether you’ve been seriously thinking about running for public office or just want to check out what it takes, the Pennsylvania Chamber is pleased to present the Candidate School from 8:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30 at the PA Chamber offices, 417 Walnut St. in Harrisburg.

This unique bipartisan forum is designed for men and women from both political parties interested in running for public office, and will provide the insight and knowledge you need to successfully enter the political arena.

The program includes an overview of Pennsylvania’s campaign finance laws, and tips on developing your campaign message from top campaign advisors. During a lunchtime legislative panel discussion, former state lawmakers will present a no-holds-barred look at what it’s really like to hold public office, both from a professional and personal perspective.

Officials from the state Republican and Democratic parties will also speak to the group about their respective expectations for candidates.
