The Technology Committee has organized an e-Commerce Workshop, designed to provide business with information on the range of technologies available to market and sell on the web. The workshop will be held at the Huntingdon Country Club at 8:00 AM on July 30, 2009.
Presenters include Marlene Burkart and Bill Thomas of Juniata College, Rob Schrack, Board of Realtors, Mike Davignon, Davignon-Reeves Coins and Currancy; and Matt Price, Huntingdon County Visitors Bureau. The workshop includes breakfast. Register by calling the Chamber at 643-1110.

I particularly liked Matt Price’s review of social networking tools like Facebook and Twitter. These free tools allow anyone to create a buzz about their agency or product.
100% agreed Ann. Years ago, it was your business needs a website. Now, with the emergence of social networking over the past few years, the emphasis has shifted. If you are doing business in today’s world and expect to track customers, maintain customer relationships, or even track your brand, you need to be using Facebook and Twitter.
Remember, you can get started with just a few minutes per day and have the potential to reach thousands of customers.
